SunnyLoop
Prepaid packages vs memberships.
Prepaid packages track purchased visits or time; stored-value cards track money. Recurring memberships also need billing and benefit rules.
| Type | Track | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Visit package | Visits remaining | 6 visits − 1 = 5 visits |
| Time package | Minutes or hours remaining | 120 minutes − 45 = 75 minutes |
| Stored-value card | Money and currency | USD 120 − 35 = USD 85 |
| Recurring membership | Billing cycle and benefits | Monthly fee + benefits |
| Loyalty rewards | Points or stamps | Points earned or redeemed |
A prepaid package tracks an allowance
A prepaid package gives the customer an agreed allowance of future services. A visit package counts uses; a time package measures time. Choose the unit that matches what you sold.
For example, a customer has 6 massage visits left. Recording one visit leaves 5. Another customer has 120 minutes left; recording 45 minutes leaves 75. Keep each card separate and preserve the usage history instead of overwriting its previous balance.
A stored-value card tracks money
A stored-value card records a monetary balance in a stated currency. Different services may deduct different amounts. With USD 120 remaining, a recorded USD 35 use leaves USD 85.
A balance record is separate from collecting a payment. SunnyLoop records balances and uses; it does not process your customers’ payments or hold their prepaid funds. Keep using your existing payment methods.
A membership needs its benefits and renewal rules
“Membership” can describe access, discounts or a recurring service arrangement. The name alone does not tell you whether a customer pays repeatedly or has a prepaid allowance.
For a recurring membership, keep the billing schedule and the included benefits clear. A monthly fee, one included visit, unused-benefit rules and cancellation terms are different facts. A prepaid visit balance by itself does not manage recurring collection or renewals. Follow the terms you have actually agreed with the customer.
Loyalty rewards use their own units
Points and stamps follow the earning and redemption rules of a rewards program. Do not treat 10 points as 10 prepaid visits or USD 10 unless the program explicitly defines that conversion. Keep reward records distinct from paid visit, time and monetary allowances.
Where SunnyLoop fits
SunnyLoop helps local service businesses manage prepaid visit packages, time packages and stored-value cards, with separate balances and usage records in English and Chinese. It does not automatically charge customers for recurring memberships.
Your SunnyLoop software subscription is separate from any membership you sell to your customers. Compare the software plans, then try the sample card or review how to bring over existing balances.
